Industrial gearboxes help to reduce or increase the driven speed of a motor to the requirements of the process they are attached to. They can also be used to increase the output torque of a motor, which means a smaller motor can be fitted to a slow output gearbox yet still move a relatively heavy load.
Because of the stress and strains placed on gearboxes, they can breakdown very suddenly. Also, if proper maintenance is not carried out, then their life expectancy will be shortened considerably.
We offer a repair / replacement service for most industrial gearbox types.
We also offer a gearbox inspection service, where we will strip the gearbox and report on its condition. On re-build we would replace any worn bearings, gaskets and seals. (All items chargeable).
Gearboxes can be difficult to specify, especially if you are trying to replace an extremely old one or one that has no discernible identification.
We will, if necessary, make a site visit to help identify the gearbox basic configuration and then quote you for repair / replacement.
